Our History

2022
Leverage Consulting was founded, pioneering an innovative "Strategy + Campaign" approach that transformed the landscape of strategic positioning consulting. Over the past ten years, Leverage facilitated the growth of 52 enterprises, including CHAGEE, Pantum, Softide, Xiao Guan Cha, Septwolves, Panpan Foods, and Bright Dairy.
Our mission is to guide enterprises in overcoming competitive bottlenecks, creating pivotal turning points, and achieving sustainable growth by addressing issues such as inadequate front-line tactics, market campaigns, and headquarters strategy.
2015
Leverage Consulting co-founded a strategic consulting firm as the primary founder.
The innovative "Strategy + 4P" strategic positioning consulting method was introduced to deliver multiple renowned multi-billion-yuan case studies.
2010
The Positioning Center was established at Peking University HSBC Business School.
The Center analyzed practical positioning cases for over 10,000 corporate students, elevating positioning theory to a prominent discipline in China's top academic institutions.

Since the collaboration with Peking University HSBC Business School in 2010, Rongjun Yao has worked with institutions such as Peking University, CCTV, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China Management Case-Sharing Center, and China Enterprise Confederation to promote strategic positioning.


In 2015, he co-founded a strategy consulting company, helping five enterprises, including Feihe, Yadea, and Bosideng, to exceed 10 billion yuan in revenue.


In 2022, he founded Leverage Consulting, serving numerous industry-leading enterprises such as Bright Dairy, Chagee, Xiaoguan Tea, Softide, Septwolves, Aokang, Panpan, and Cosmo Lady.


Yao is also an academic professional committee member of ICMCI (International Council of Management Consulting Institutes, an international registered consulting institution) and a member of the Expert Committee of the Competitive Strategy Teaching and Research Workshop of China Management Case-Sharing Center. He is frequently invited to speak at various forums and has been interviewed or invited to contribute to media outlets such as Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily Online, Jiemian News, Yicai (China Business Network), Economic Daily, Tsinghua Business Review, and Harvard Business Review, where he shares unique insights on topics such as strategy innovation in the private sector, the rise of Chinese brands, and business strategies for the new economy.
